Food Prices and Local Agriculture
Food costs keep rising while local farmers struggle to stay profitable. Corporate consolidation controls much of the food system, and small farms are squeezed by high energy, fertilizer, and transportation costs. I will fight for anti-monopoly enforcement in agriculture, reduce farm input costs, and strengthen local supply chains. By expanding farm-to-market programs and direct-to-consumer initiatives, we can keep food affordable while supporting the farmers who feed our communities.
